In the last week in Nov.we always explore along the banks of the River Ribble and some of it's many tributaries up here in Lancashire.
I've always been fascinated by the return of the Salmon to the rivers of their birth from as far away as the seas around Greenland and the Faroe Islands, it's something of a miracle that these fish have the ability to find their way back through the vast oceans.

Such determination! Not what you would expect of a fish.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this, David. It’s fascinating to see and the journey just incredible. I spotted your post title on my phone reader and I have been meaning to take a look. It has also reminded me that I have Salmon leaping footage to finish editing. We found a new spot this year and it gave great close-up views. I must finish it soon :-D
